City of El Paso Landfill, drop-off sites closing early due to high winds, low visibility

The Greater El Paso Landfill and the Citizen Collection Stations will close early today due to low visibility associated with the high winds that swept into the region, the city’s Environmental Services Department announced.

The landfill, at 2300 Darrington Road near Clint, and the Citizen Collection Stations, or drop-off sites, will close about two hours early today to the general public to ensure the safety of Environmental Services customers and employees.

The landfill and the drop-off sites are expected to resume normal operating hours tomorrow, weather permitting.
