2013 story: 2nd person dies from crash that killed El Paso Police officer Angel Garcia
El Paso Police officials said that a second person has died as a result of injuries sustained in the Dec. 16 crash that killed El Paso Police Officer Angel Garcia.
Garcia was struck and killed on Interstate 10 while on duty. He was removing a ladder from the middle of the freeway when he was hit in a chain reaction wreck.
The driver of the 2004 Ford Explorer, 70-year-old Amado Ancheta of Katy Texas, died on Dec. 20. The cause of his death has been ruled as accidental.
The case is still under investigation and as of this time no charges have been filed.
