UTEP Women’s Golf Team Finishes 14th at Wyoming Cowgirl Classic

The UTEP women’s golf team recorded a 14th-place showing at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on Tuesday in Maricopa, Ariz.

The Miners shot 938 as a team with rounds of 314, 306 and 318.

The tournament champion was NM State (297-296-294-887 ). Santa Clara was second (298-302-296-896 ), while Tulsa (300-301-300-901 ) and Boise State (302-296-303-901 ) tied for third place out of 20 teams.

Leading UTEP was Camino Sardinero, who tied for 17th place with an 11-over-par 227 (82-71-74-227 ). Emma Edin tied for 46th place (75-78-80-233 ), Amber Herrera tied for 58th place (77-79-80-236 ), Alisa Rodriguez tied for 87th place (85-78-85-248 ) and Emma Burman tied for 97th place (80-89-84-253 ).

The Miners will play in the Conference USA Championship April 21 -23 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
