Complete Coverage: Water main break disrupts life for thousands in Northeast El Paso

Update (4:08 PM): El Paso Water says its crews have been working through the night to repair the water main break. They say that nine of the fifteen reservoirs that were drained as a result of the water main break have been refilled to healthy levels once more.

"Although some areas have had their water service restored, we are anticipating 72 hours from the time of this news release for the full restoration of the system," a spokesperson for El Paso Water explained.

A boil water notice remains in effect for many areas that have water once more. That is due to the low water pressure and drained reservoirs.
