Las Cruces Team Of 11 & 12-Year-Olds Move 1 Victory Away From Advancing To Little League World Series

The group of 11 and 12-year old baseball players representing Las Cruces, New Mexico have moved just one victory away from advancing to the Little League World Series. The squad from the Fairacres part of Las Cruces, won the New Mexico state tournament, and now have advanced to the Southwest Regional Finals.

Tuesday evening, the Fairacres squad beat a powerful team from Louisiana 9-3. The game was seen by millions of people on ESPN2. Las Cruces will take on a squad representing Corpus Christi on Wednesday on ESPN2.

The winner will advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The game will be at 7 p.m. Las Cruces/El Paso time on ESPN2.
