UPDATE: Police say woman was trying to jump onto moving train when killed

UPDATE 08/31/14 3:52 P.M. Officers have learned that the woman,only identified as being in her mid to late 20’s, was seen trying tojump onto the moving train.

Police say after a failed attempt, the woman tried once again to board the train and was pulled under the train where she was struck and killed.

Investigators have received a tentative identification of the victim however it has
not yet been confirmed. No charges are pending in this case.

08/30/14: Around 3 p.m. police responded to a woman who was hit by a train near Copia and Rosa. ABC-7 crews on the scene report she has died.

Police say she was hit twice. They found her dead at the east end of Copia.

Copia is now closed from Alameda and Gateway East.
