Woman hit by vehicle on Feb. 14 has died
A 63-year-old woman who was hit by a vehicle just after noon on Feb. 14 has died.
El Paso Police say that Guadalupe Maciel, of the 200 block of Candelaria, was in a crosswalk when attempted to cross Alameda at the 9000 block of Alameda.
Police say that Luz Ruiz, driving a black 2008 Hummer, was attempting an eastbound turn onto Alameda from Harris St. at the same time when she struck Maciel.
Maciel was transported to Del Sol Medical Center where she died on Feb. 15 as a result of the injuries she sustained in the collision.
This is the seventh traffic fatality of 2014.
