Pedestrian Killed in Northeast El Paso
A man is behind bars,after police say he hit and killed a teenager Friday night.
It happened in Northeast El Paso around 8:30 at the intersection of Dyer and Sun Valley. Police say 41-year-old Jason Messer hit and killed 17-year-old Jacob Herrera.
Messer was arrested and has been charged with accident involving injury or death.
Police say Messer had a green light when he hit the teen. The boy died before he was taken to the hospital. Police say Messer continued driving for miles before telling a state trooper what had happened.
