‘I’m going to war myself:’ Man arrested for allegedly threatening police, military in Facebook post

UPDATE (April 14, 2026) -- Sanchez admitted to posting the threatening Facebook post to police, according to police documents obtained by ABC-7.

According to documents, Sanchez allegedly posted "I'm going to war myself for the United States" and invited others to join.

"We are gonna kill everybody at the police station and even go into Fort Bliss to kill everybody there.. you want in inbox me," Sanchez allegedly said in part, quote. "We are gonna chase down cops first. I hate these people here in our country."

"I got some techniques and some technology that my family left me that nucked heroshema," Sanchez said, according to documents. "Maby if we start killing these people will get scared and never comehere again. You must be a US Citizen."

According to the affidavit, Sanchez shared his area code and invited others to message him to meet up. He also shared his CashApp username and said, in part, quote, "I take sponsers too...if you got a gun you don't need please give it to me I'm gonna start tonight here where I'm at."

The El Paso Fusion Center Watch learned about the post through an anonymous tip, documents said. A city-wide manhunt began with local law enforcement and the FBI on high-alert due to the threats.

The El Paso police's Special Investigations Unit found Sanchez with help from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.


EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Police Department said it arrested a man who posted a Facebook post threatening to hurt several people.

Police received an anonymous tip about the post. According to EPPD, Christian Sanchez threatened to go to Fort Bliss and police stations to kill police and military personnel.

Investigators and the El Paso County Sheriff's Office found Sanchez at his home and took him into custody for active traffic warrants. They also charged him for terroristic threat.

Sanchez was booked into the county detention facility with a $5,000 bond.
