1 killed, 1 injured in drive-by shooting

One man was killed and another injured following a drive-by shooting in the lower valley.

Police say this happened just after 1 a.m. on the 300 block of Mirasol Drive.

The man who was killed was 38 years old. The second man involved, 24 years old, is being treated at DelSol Medical Center.

Investigators say that the two men were
outside of a residence when a vehicle drove by and shots were fired from inside
of the vehicle towards the men. Both men were struck by the gunfire.

Our ’round the clock news crew reported that police blocked off the area, while the crimes against persons unit was on the scene.

This is the 19th murder of 2014.
