Vehicle strikes utility pole causes power outage in City of Anthony

EL PASO ELECTRIC

UPDATE (1:01 PM) -- A spokesperson with El Paso Electric says the cause of the outage was a vehicle hitting an electric pole.

The spokesperson for El Paso Electric says that when the outage first occurred over 1,200 people were impacted but as of 1:00 pm there are only 69 customers impacted.

Crews are on scene making repairs and power is estimated to be repaired later Sunday afternoon.


ANTHONY, New Mexico (KVIA) -- According to the El Paso Electric Outage Map there is an outage which is currently impacting over 1,200 people in the City of Anthony area.

According to El Paso Electric the outage was reported around 4:30 am Sunday morning.
