Update: Police Gang Unit investigating Thursday night shooting in Central El Paso

El Paso’s Gang Unit is investigating the shooting of a man that happened Thursday night.

El Paso Police were called out to the 3600 block of Lincoln in Northeast El Paso at about 8:15 p.m. Thursday on a shots-fired call.

Fire medical services were treating the 20-year-old man for a gunshot wound to the back.

He was then taken to University Medical Center for treatment.

Police say the victim was uncooperative with officers at the scene and no arrests have been made.

The El Paso Police Department’s Gang unit was called to assist with this investigation. Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the El Paso Police Department at (915) 832-
4400 or to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at (915) 566-TIPS (8477). This investigation continues.
