Neighbors find three dead dogs in backyard

Neighbors in a northeast neighborhood found three dead dogs in their neighbors backyard.

One of the owners of the dogs said it was the next door neighbor’s fault the dogs died.

“My dogs passed away because I asked my neighbor to give them water,” The dog owner said. “That’s what really happened.”

The dog owner left town for the week in regards to family issues and left the dogs alone.

But the neighbor next door, Keith, said the dog owner never confirmed he needed to provide water and food for the dogs. Other neighbors thought the dog owner’s daughter was home because her car was in the driveway, but she was not home either, which resulted in the dogs’ death.

Animal services told ABC-7 the investigation is still underway, so no more information has been released. At this time the dog owners have not faced any punishment.
