Andrew Haggerty defeats Julio Diaz in race for County Commissioner

Republican Andrew Haggerty has defeated Julio Diaz for County Commissioner Precinct 4.

Andrew Haggerty will serve a four-year term.

ANDREW R. HAGGERTY (REP) 15,771 55.74% JULIO DIAZ (DEM) 12,524 44.26%

Precinct 4 covers Northeast El Paso and part of El Paso’s West Side.

This is the seat that was held for several years by Dan Haggerty.

The County Judge appointed Pat Abeln to serve the remainder of the term in that precinct when Dan Haggerty died from cancer.
