2 wrong-way drivers cause 2 different wrecks, 1 person killed
Two wrong-way drivers caused two different wrecks, according to law enforcement.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor in both crashes
The first collision involved a man with his two babies in the car.
Police say the 50-year-old man was headed south in the northbound lanes of Loop 375 and hit a car head-on near Montana.
His 1-year-old and a baby younger than 1, who were in the car, are expected to be OK. So is the other driver.
The dad is charged with DWI.
The other collision happened at about 5 p.m. Sunday on the Anthony gap near I-10.
New Mexico State Police say David Solis drifted into oncoming traffic, hitting a car driven by Megan Ketelboeter head-on.
Solis’ passenger, Rogelio Solis, was killed.
David Solis is at University Medical Center, as is Ketelboeter.
