48th anniversary of Texas Western’s historic win over Kentucky in NCAA Championship game
Texas Western College (now UTEP) shocked the basketball world by defeating Kentucky to win the NCAA Championship on March 19, 1966. Late UTEP coach Don Haskins made history by starting five black players against Kentucky’s all white starting five.
