Green Day opens 3-date-club tour with 2-hour show; band to play El Paso Wednesday

Green Day played its first concert since September in front of a sold-out crowd Sunday night at the Fox Theater in Pomona, Calif.

The Calif. show, lasting about two hours, was the first of three club dates this week ahead of the band’s SXSW performance on March 15 and full-scale arena world tour starting at the end of the month.

Green Day plays Tempe, Ariz.’s Marquee Theatre tonight before El Paso’s show at Tricky Falls on Wednesday.
