Motorcyclist killed in deadly east El Paso wreck

UPDATE: Police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed early Friday. Adrian Renteria was driving eastbound on Edgemere Blvd.

Maria Ramirez was exiting from El Dorado High School. Ramirez tried to cross the westbound lanes of Edgemere, but did not yield the right of way to the motorcycle. Police told ABC-7 the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

ORIGINAL STORY: A third person has been killed in the first 48 hours of 2015.

A motorcyclist was killed in a wreck that happened early Friday morning on Edgemere Blvd., in front of El Dorado High School.

Special traffic investigators are on the scene. The area was closed off to traffic. The wreck was affecting the intersection of Tierra Este Rd. and Edgemere Blvd.

Police have not identified the man killed, but an officer on the scene told our photographer an SUV was also involved.
