Hundreds attend Deal brothers’ ‘Celebration of Life’
On Christmas Eve. a family received tragic news.
Dee and Ricardo Cisnero’s got a phone call every parent dreads.
Their two son’s Joshua and Isaiah Deal were killed in crash police say was allegedly caused by a drunk driver.
Saturday afternoon a celebration of life was held for the two brothers.
As hundreds of people walked into Cielo Vista Church many held their head down almost as if preparing for a heart-wrenching service.
But these services were a celebration of the lives of Joshua and Isaiah Deal.
And that is exactly what it was, a celebration.
Friends and family flocked to Cielo Vista Church Saturday afternoon.
It was so quiet all you could hear was footsteps from people walking by but once inside touching videos of Joshua and Isaiah filled the screen.
Video of Joshua’s high school graduation.
Like many students his age Joshua questioned the next chapter of his life.
“What’s next?” asked Joshua deal in the video.
Everyone rose when the brother’s matching caskets were brought in slowly.
A band played songs of healing and Pastor Larry Lamb provided a stark reminder to all.
“Three beautiful lives taken because of foolish thought and foolish action,” said Lamb.
One by one friends of the Deal brothers talked about how they touched their lives.
Isaiah’s girlfriend: “He showed me something that is very important,(that it) is not the person who you are at the moment but who you’re willing to become for somebody else.”
Close friends of Isaiah, Joshua and his girlfriend Shannon Del Rio who also died in the tragic accident reflected on the good times and Joshua’s hijinks.
“And Josh just walked off like I don’t know them,” said one friends.
“They were my best friends. They were the only friends I had to sign a waiver to hang out with,” said a lifelong friend and neighbor.
The neighbor described the Deal brothers simply with a few words.
“These boys all they knew was love. They are the most purest people. Honest kind people. All they wanted to do was have fun and share love,” the neighbor said.
ABC-7 would like to personally thank Joshua and Isaiah’s family for allowing us inside to share these moments during hard times.
