Canutillo ISD board reveals 3 finalists for superintendent
The cheating scandal at Canutillo Independent School District forced superintendent Damon Murphy to resign earlier this year.
The names of the three finalists who could soon fill that position have now been revealed.
They are Dr. Pedro Galaviz of Round Rock ISD.
Ricardo Lopez, the area superintendent for the Ysleta ISD.
Dr. James Steinhauser the assistant superintendent for research and evaluation of El Paso ISD.
The Canutillo ISD board members will now move to the final phase of the search including initerviews, site visits and public meetings.
The board expects to name a new superintendent in about a month.
