Tony Harper officially named boys basketball coach at Cathedral High School

Tony Harper, with 908 career wins, was officially named Cathedral High School’s boys basketball coach this afternoon.

Harper most recently coached at Montwood High School for 23 years. he also has coached at Burges and El Paso High.

“Being at Montwood has been a great experience,” said Harper. “I will always appreciate what the school has done for me. This is a new challenge for me, and I love challenges.”

“We’re going to be a fast-paced, defensive team,” Harper said in a post on Cathedral High School’s Facebook page. “As coaches, we are going to be there to teach them the new system; it’ll be up to the players to adjust and learn a new style of play.”
