El Paso Inc.: Leeser looking at possible changes with city manager powers, City 4-day work week

Changes are afoot – and on foot – under the new administration of El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser.

They include some initial limitations on the powers of the city manager, a partial return to the five-day workweek for city government, when the public gets to address City Council and how the news media reaches the mayor.

Residents around the proposed Walmart Neighborhood Market and other retail outlets on a full city block at Montana and Chelsea may also get the chance to see how the new mayor could be making some of his decisions.
