Area closures, postponements due to weather

Cool Canyon Nights Presented by WestStar Bank has been cancelled for tonight, July 18, 2013 due to weather conditions. Cool Canyon Nights will return next Thursday. For a full listing of the 2013 schedule, please visit CoolCanyonNights.com

The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will be postponing games scheduled tonight (Thursday, July 18, 2013) due to the rainy weather in:
-Adult Softball
-Youth Baseball
-Girls Fastpitch Softball

Carlsbad Caverns National Park reopened as of 10:00 a.m. on
Thursday, July 18. All programs, including the Bat Flight Breakfast on
Saturday, July 20, will be held as scheduled. Cave tours and ranger programs
also will also be held as scheduled.

The park closed early Wednesday afternoon because of slight flooding
along the Walnut Canyon Park Road. There was no road damage as a
result of flooding, and the park does not anticipate any further
closures.
