Closures and Adjustments due to weather in area
Schools
Socorro Independent School District’s middle school football games for Saturday, Sept. 14 will be moved to the high school football fields and the SAC. The middle school fields are saturated with rain water and cannot be lined for the games. Host schools will remain as the host for the game. Game times also will remain the same as originally scheduled.
Ysleta ISD: Re-scheduled JV and Freshman games: Ysleta at Parkland and Austin at Bel Air. All games will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and played as a double header.
Irvin/Santa Teresa moved to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Due to inclement weather, Parkland Pre-Kindergarten classes were cancelled for Friday, September 13. This includes the Day Care Collaborative and PPCD classes. Classes will resume on Monday, September 16 at the regularly scheduled time. All Parkland Pre K staff should report to Parkland Elementary School on Friday.

TransMountain Road reopened Friday afternoon.

Movies in the Canyon at McKelligon Canyon is cancelled for Friday.
Alfresco! Fridays is cancelled for Friday.
The Bill Burr show, scheduled for tonight, Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Abraham Chavez Theatre will be rescheduled. All tickets purchased for the show date will be honored at the future date.. The rescheduled date is yet to be determined and will be released as soon as possible.
