Soldier dies in 2-vehicle collision in East El Paso
A two-vehicle fatal accident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday at Global Reach and Walter Jones in East El Paso.
El Paso Police investigators tell ABC-7’s crew at the scene a Chevy collided with a Mustang, killing the male driver of the Chevy and sending his passenger along with two women in the Mustang to area hospitals.
A Fort Bliss spokesman confirmed the man was a soldier assigned to the 1st Armored division. Fort Bliss will not release his name until 24 hours after the family is notified.
“Our thoughts and concerns are with the soldier’s family and all involved inthis accident,” said Lieutenant Colonel Lee Peters.
