Authorities at scene of alleged hoarding case at West El Paso home

Local authorities are on the scene of what Environmental Services is calling a hoarding incident that does not involve animals.

The home is on the 6000 block of Belton in West El Paso.

El Paso Police spokesman Sgt. Chris Mears says they took someone to a local hospital from the home for medical evaluation.

A police officer on the scene told ABC-7 the elderly female resident was transported with what appeared to be possibly spider bites. The officer also said the trash and debris is knee-high throughout the home.

ABC-7’s crew on the scene say they can smell the bad aroma from the home from outside it.
