Canutillo Eagles head for Lubbock
Friday is game day! The Canutillo Eagles are on their way to the state semi-finals in Lubbock.
The players, coaches and fans loaded up on buses early in the morning to make the over three hundred mile drive to the stadium
There’s been a lot of excitement in the Borderland leading up to Friday’s game. People all over the area have been showing their support. Canutillo mascot Brutus the Eagle even visited the ABC-7 studio to help get people excited.
People have also been sending mobile shout-outs to the team with the hashtag #GoCanutillo. You can still send yours as well. Just post on Facebook and Twitter with #GoCanutillo.
Canutillo will face off against Ennis at 6 pm mountain time in Lubbock. ABC-7 will broadcast the game live on air and on kvia.com, thanks in part to the Lubbock Independent School District which operates the stadium.
