Harmony School of Innovation joins ABC-7 for first day of school

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — ABC-7's back-to-school coverage continues with Harmony Public Schools on Thursday as they kick off their first day of the school year.

Harmony School of Innovation Principal Dr. Michelle Sepesy talks about what is Harmony Public Schools, its history and what makes it special.

She also discusses the makers' space where elementary school students learn to code, design, and build with 3D printers.

The principal also discusses upcoming school functions, their STEM festival, rocketry, civic involvement and extra curricular clubs.

Technology and Robotics teacher Valerie Moreno talks about her students winning the Award of Excellence, the highest award at the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri.
