ABC-7 Xtra – Developments to the data center situation in the Borderland

KVIA

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- New developments in data center policy and possibilities are impacting some of the major projects in the Borderland.

This is all happening even as the physical build-outs of the artificial intelligence campuses continue.

Leaders and lawmakers are visiting either side of the state line to say they're listening to constituent feedback.

There are also some significant policy deals being made with the biggest operators in the region.

But what will the actual impact be - and how could this affect the future of data centers around El Paso?

Coming up this weekend on ABC-7 Xtra, join host Andrew J. Polk as we hear from those state leaders, data center builders and more.

That's Sunday night at 10:35 PM, right after ABC-7 at 10.

Click here for details on the draft letter the El Paso City Council is considering sending to Texas Governor Greg Abbott for clarification on data center policy.
