Early voting begins in El Paso County

Voters head to the polls Tuesday for early voting.

Early voting runs until Friday, February 28 at various mobile voting sites in the area.

Photo identification is required to cast a ballot. Below are valid forms of ID:

•Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
•Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
•Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
•Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS
•United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph
•United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph
•United States passport

Polling locations have also changed for some residents.

Last month County Commissioners voted unanimously to no longer hold mobile voting sites at churches, medical facilities and credit unions.

They agreed privately-operated mobile voting sites could draw a partisan voting base and sway elections.

A list of mobile voting sites is located in the Election Center tab.
