EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) School of Pharmacy hosted a White Coat Ceremony on Saturday evening for the university's Doctor of Pharmacy Class 2030.

During the ceremony, family and friends joined University administrators and faculty as students received their first white coat. According to UTEP, the white coat symbolizes professionalism, clinical care, and service, as well as the trust and responsibility students will carry in caring for patients.
