NMDOT says a portion of NM 185 in Las Cruces is closed due to a crash

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- According to the New Mexico Department of Transportation, both Northbound and Southbound lanes of NM 185 near East Picacho Elementary School are closed due to a crash.

Officials with NMDOT reported the crash around 9:24 a.m. Saturday.

NMDOT did not provide a timeline for when the area will reopen; drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
