Showers and thunderstorms expected through this weekend

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- We can expect isolated showers and thunderstorms to favor western New Mexico through the upcoming weekend. 

Additionally, temps are expected to remain slightly above normal in the coming days, with highs in the lower to mid 90s. 

Today we could still see some rain in the afternoon, but the chances are slight. 

Highs for today will be 97 F El Paso, 95 F Las Cruces.
