ABC-7 StormTrack Weather: Hot and mostly dry Sunday for El Paso and Las Cruces

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Another hot and mostly dry day is ahead for the immediate Borderland Sunday, with El Paso and Las Cruces seeing temperatures in the mid to upper 90s.

While storm chances remain in the forecast, most of the lowlands should stay dry, with the better chances focused over the mountains and west of the Continental Divide.

Moisture levels remain above normal, which means any storms that do develop could produce higher rainfall rates, localized flooding and gusty outflow winds.

The Sacramento Mountains and areas west of the Divide have the best opportunity for thunderstorms today, while El Paso and Las Cruces have only spotty storm chances.

Night 2 of Karol G at the Sun Bowl - If you're heading to Sun Bowl Stadium for Night 2 of the Karol G concert, the weather looks favorable for the event. Around the 7 p.m. start time, temperatures will remain in the low 90s, with mostly dry conditions expected in El Paso.

Even without widespread storms, it will still feel hot, especially for fans arriving early, waiting in lines or spending several hours outside. Bring water, stay hydrated and take advantage of opportunities to cool down.
