Doña Ana County announces fall spay, neuter, and vaccine clinics

DONA ANA COUNTY, New Mexico (KVIA)-- The Doña Ana County Animal Control has announced dates for vaccination and spay/neuter clinics in various communities throughout the County from September through November. 

Officials say the vaccination clinics are scheduled from 8 to 11:45 a.m. Spay and neuter services are available by appointment only, with appointment times scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Appointments will open seven days before each clinic and can be scheduled online. 

Officials remind anyone interested in the clinics to bring dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier. Pets must be healthy and at least three months old to receive a vaccine. 

After scheduling an appointment, pet owners will receive instructions with their specific drop-off and pick-up times; pets may only be dropped off at their assigned time. Officials say walk-up spay and neuter services will not be available.
