Sinkhole closes portion of road in front of Western Playland

SUNLAND PARK, New Mexico (KVIA) -- The Sunland Park Police Department says that Futurity Road is closed at Sunland Park Dr and Racetrack Rd. due to a sinkhole.

Officials say the closure begins just past Western Playland, so visitors can still access Western Playland from Racetrack Rd.

Officials did not provide an estimated time when the road would reopen.
