HALFTIME: New Mexico State leads Western Kentucky 20-6, TDs on both sides of the ball

LAS CRUCES, NM (KVIA) -- New Mexico State football (1-3) is off to a solid start to it's first game of conference play, leading their conference foe Western Kentucky (1-3) by a score of 20 to 6 at halftime.

In his first career start under center, Aggie Quarterback Adam Damante is 8/16 for 62 yards in the air with an interception, with his play of impact coming on a 4th and Goal at the one-yard line, when he ran to the outside for a touchdown.

However, the Aggie defense put on a show in the first half, led by a 45 interception return for a touchdown by Defensive Back De'Marcus Peters. In addition, the NMSU defense forced three punts and a turnover on downs as well.

Also, the Aggies are two for two in the redzone, and look to secure their first victory since Week 2 against Mercyhurst.
