Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo returns for 60th Annual celebration

The Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo is kicking off its first day and returns with rides, live music and entertainment and more.

If you still haven't gotten your tickets, Good Morning El Paso's Nicole Ardila joins them live from the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds for a sneak peek.

The event is featuring live entertainment including:

• Thrashedkids FMX
• Boom! Hype Crew
• Comedy juggler Sam Malcolm
• Foot archer Bella Gannt

As for rodeos, there will be a traditional ranch rodeo where the contestants compete as teams from ranches, instead of as individuals as in a “regular” rodeo.

The Pete Domenici Arena will be the home of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association with contestants coming from all over the U.S. to compete.

The PRCA rodeo is on Friday, Oct. 2 and Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. then Sunday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m.

Musical artists that are performing include:

• Wade Bowen on Thursday, Oct. 1
• Tyce Delk on Friday, Oct. 2
• Restless Road on Saturday, Oct. 3

There will also be livestock in the barns, food trucks, vendors and a sip and shop inside of the special events building.

The Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo runs from Sept. 30 - Oct. 4 at the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds.
