ABC-7 Storm Track Weather: A Quiet Start to the Week, With Warmer Temperatures Ahead

El Paso and the Borderland are starting the week with relatively quiet weather. Meanwhile, a generally west-to-east flow is keeping the main storm system well to our north.

Warmer Tuesday

High pressure (good weather maker) will begin moving out Tuesday as a weak system approaches the Great Basin. As a result, temperatures will climb into the upper 80s, which is much closer to normal for early October.

Enough moisture exits for some high clouds, but rain chances will remain very low, with little to no precipitation expected across the lowlands. A slight uptick in rain chances by Wednesday and Thursday but nothing too significant.

Watching the Weekend

Heading into the weekend, a weak storm system could bring some additional moisture back into the Borderland. Right now, Sunday has the best potential for a few showers, particularly west of El Paso, although rain chances remain limited.
