Relevant Experience

I have lived in New Mexico for 40 years, starting out in Santa Fe. I bought Certified Packing and Crating, an Albuquerque business, and grew it into a thriving company, learning what it takes to make payroll, meet a budget, and keep promises to customers. I sold it to serve as mayor of Rio Rancho, New Mexico's third-largest city, and spent 12 years in that job. We grew from about 93,000 residents to nearly 113,000, doubled our police budget, and became one of the safest cities in the state while sales taxes stayed flat. I know how to get results in government, and I know how hard families and small businesses work to get by.

Personal

Greggory D. Hull has been a resident of New Mexico for over 40 years, with Rio Rancho at the heart of his personal and professional life. Alongside his wife, Carrie, they raised their five children in New Mexico, all of whom attended local public schools. Their family has now grown to include nine grandchildren, spanning three generations living in New Mexico.

Before entering public service, Hull demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit by starting and operating two successful businesses over more than a decade. These ventures provided him with invaluable experience in job creation, and overcoming strenuous regulatory challenges that so many businesses face today. This has deeply influenced his approach to fostering a thriving local economy in Rio Rancho.

Hull's commitment to public service led him to run for mayor, first elected in April 2014. His leadership and vision for the city have been reaffirmed by voters, leading to his re-election in March 2018 and again in March 2022, making him Rio Rancho's longest-serving mayor.

During his tenure, Mayor Hull has focused on infrastructure improvement, public safety, and economic development.

Mayor Hull's leadership has earned Rio Rancho numerous national recognitions, including in 2024, Best Places to Live for Families in the US, safest place to live in New Mexico, and most affordable place to live.

Through his dedication to infrastructure, public safety, economic growth, and quality of life, Gregg continues to lead Rio Rancho toward a prosperous future.

Now, he wants to do the same for ALL New Mexicans.

If you are elected, what are your priorities for New Mexico?

First, reforming CYFD so every child in state care is safe, with caseload limits, experienced leadership, and real independent oversight. Second, starting to phase out the personal income tax, beginning with a zero tax band on the first $25,000 for single filers and $50,000 for couples, paid for only with recurring revenue and protected by strict reserve guardrails. Third, improving public education by focusing on kindergarten through third-grade learning so every child reads at grade level, and expanding career and technical education so students graduate ready for good jobs.

What is your position on data centers?

I oppose a moratorium. A blanket no tells every employer New Mexico is closed for business. I support real water and energy accountability, with limits set project by project based on local infrastructure capacity, not one size fits all rules from Santa Fe. Every project earns approval on its own.

What are your plans to ensure transparency and make sure you are accessible to constituents?

Government should volunteer information, not make people fight for it. As governor, I'll push for proactive disclosure and better records systems to improve transparency.

What makes you the best candidate?

I served as mayor of Rio Rancho for 12 years, leading what has become one of New Mexico's most successful and fastest-growing cities. Under my leadership, Rio Rancho experienced significant economic growth, job creation, and improvements in public safety. I know how to manage a large organization, balance competing priorities, and deliver results for the people I serve. That executive experience is exactly what New Mexico needs in its next governor.
