Relevant Experience

My relevant experience is rooted in leadership, service, and fiscal responsibility. I hold an MBA and a master’s degree in leadership, giving me the knowledge to understand budgets, evaluate priorities, and make sound financial decisions. More importantly, I understand that taxpayer dollars are not government money they belong to the people. My education and leadership experience have prepared me to ask the tough questions, hold departments accountable, eliminate waste, and ensure county resources are used responsibly to serve families, veterans, seniors, and every taxpayer in our community.

Personal

I am a proud Veteran who served 13 years in the United States Army, including three combat deployments. My military service taught me discipline, sacrifice, resilience, and the importance of leading with integrity under pressure. Throughout my career, I had the privilege of leading, training, and mentoring others, and those experiences shaped me into a servant leader who understands that true leadership means listening, learning, taking responsibility, and helping others succeed. I believe no one is perfect, but I also believe that growth comes from humility, faith, and the willingness to learn from both success and mistakes. My trust in God has guided my life, strengthened my purpose, and reminded me that when we follow the right path with faith, courage, and commitment, we can overcome challenges and serve our community with honor.

What is your position on data centers?

I do not support data centers that receive county tax abatements while placing a greater burden on the people of El Paso County. Our residents should not be asked to subsidize projects that may strain our water, electricity, natural gas, infrastructure, and public health. Economic development must benefit the community, not shift costs onto taxpayers. Before any project like this moves forward, it must be fully transparent, fiscally responsible, and prove that it protects our resources and serves the long-term interests of El Paso families.

What would you do differently to reduce property taxes?

Accountability: audit independently, own approve budgets, enforce departments discipline, cut waste, protect services, demand contract value.

What’s your position on the Deck Plaza project?

I do not support the Deck Plaza. El Paso County should not be in the business of entertainment.

What are your plans to ensure transparency and make sure you are accessible to constituents?

Transparency and accessibility will be the foundation of how I serve. My door will always be open, and I will hold monthly meetings on both sides of the precinct so every resident has a real opportunity to be heard. I will listen directly to constituents, provide honest updates, and make sure decisions are explained clearly not made behind closed doors. The people deserve a commissioner who is present, accountable, and willing to face the community, not just during election season, but every day in office.

What makes you the best candidate?

I am the strongest candidate because I bring a proven record of service, leadership, and accountability. As a Veteran who deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan, I understand the meaning of sacrifice, duty, and commitment and I know firsthand the needs of our Veteran community. Beyond my military service, I have been actively present in this precinct, listening directly to constituents and hearing their concerns. I have made myself available to everyone, regardless of political party, because public service should be about people, not politics. My priority is to protect taxpayers, demand responsible spending, and ensure county government uses every dollar wisely, transparently, and for the benefit of our community.
