Project Amistad hosts health and wellness fair in El Paso

EL Paso, Texas (KVIA) - Project Amistad partnered with the YMCA of El Paso on Saturday morning to host a health and wellness fair focused on connecting community members with health-related resources.

The event provided information and resources on health care access, mental health and physical fitness. Flu vaccinations were also offered to people who provided proof of insurance.

Kristina Peña, community relations manager for Project Amistad, said the goal was to help people connect with resources that support their overall health and well-being.

“The point is just to guide them and connect them to resources like access to health care, access to fitness classes, access to nutrition, just to kind of promote their health and well-being,” Peña said.

Organizers said the fair aimed to help community members learn about available services and find resources to support healthier lifestyles.
