4th Annual Classic Rust Garage Toy Run

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Earlier today, the community gathered in Anthony, Texas, for the 4th Annual Classic Rust Garage Toy Run.

Shiny cars and trucks filled the field as families enjoyed barbecue, music, and a festive atmosphere.

Participants donated new, unwrapped toys or cash to support the Anthony Police Department’s Operation Santa Drop.

The donations will help provide holiday gifts to local children and families in need, while bringing car enthusiasts and neighbors together for a meaningful community tradition.

Event organizer Javier Ponce says the annual toy run is a celebration everyone can enjoy.

"It's an event that, people look forward to now. It was something that did not exist. And now everywhere I go, people as they see me and they ask me, yeah, when is the car show? When is it going to be? So yeah, it's something that they're expecting. So yeah. And giving back to the town where we live in is the best thing," Javier Ponce told ABC-7 during an interview.
