Pink Walk brings El Paso community together for breast cancer awareness

KVIA

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA)-- People across El Paso came together Sunday morning to raise awareness about breast cancer and honor survivors, patients, and families affected by the disease.

The Hospitals of Providence hosted its Pink Walk on October 18, 2026, starting at 8 a.m. at its Memorial Campus.

The one-mile walk began at the hospital campus at 2001 North Oregon Street and continued to UTEP's Centennial Plaza.

The event brought together breast cancer survivors, people facing the disease, healthcare workers, and community members. The walk also included music, food, and other festivities.

The Hospitals of Providence says the event is meant to honor every breast cancer journey and remind patients and families that they are not alone.

The walk offered the community a chance to show support, share hope, and raise awareness about breast cancer.

The Hospitals of Providence serves communities across West Texas and Southern New Mexico. Its healthcare system includes several hospital campuses and other medical services throughout the region.
