The Horizon City Police Department said it stopped Jonathan Calderon for riding an ATV without a helmet near Corby Road and Darrington Road on Oct. 17. Police said the ATV matched the description from a report of a four-wheeler taken without the owner's permission.

Officers noticed that Calderon appeared intoxicated and found alcoholic drinks in his backpack, HPD said. He gave breath samples that registered 0.087, above the Texas legal limit of 0.080, police said.

Officers booked Calderon into the El Paso County Detention facility under a $1,000 bond on a driving while intoxicated charge.
