2026 Amigo Airsho takes flight at Biggs Army Airfield featuring Blue Angels and more

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA)-- The Amigo Airsho returned to Biggs Army Airfield at Fort Bliss, after being canceled the year prior, drawing crowds of aviation enthusiasts, military families, and local residents.

The multi-day aerial spectacle kicked off a packed lineup featuring world-class performers, including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, and the fan-favorite Pink Jet.

Organizers say bringing a event of this scale to life requires significant coordination among military personnel, flight crews, and community volunteers.

"This is one of the best aerial demonstrations anybody will ever see in the sky," Angie Olivas an Airsho spokesperson said.

Behind the high-flying maneuvers, crew members and pilots spent months in intense rehearsal to prepare for the weekend. Beyond the airshow itself, organizers note that the hours of preparation and flight practice serve to strengthen the bonds between flight crews and their instructors.

"It's an incredible honor to be able to share with people beyond just ourselves working on a day-to-day basis, and hopefully inspire some more people to come out." Capt. William DiRubbio, a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot told ABC-7.

The Amigo Airsho also offered interactive static displays on the ground where families and children had the rare opportunity to walk up to military aircraft and tour cockpits from the inside. The event also included several agencies with recruitment booths, local vendor setups, and more.

The event ran through October 24th to October 25th at Biggs Army Airfield on Fort Bliss.
