Community invited to Andress team sendoff at airport Wednesday morning
The community is invited to join the Andress community Wednesday morning at the airport as they send the basketball team off to the state final four.
The sendoff will start at 8:30 a.m. at the El Paso International Airport lobby and include students, parents, alumni and fans.
Parking at the airport is $1 per hour in the short-term parking lot.
Because of higher-than-normal traffic at the airport due to spring break, the short-term lot may be full in the morning. Parking at that time will be rerouted to the long-term lot, which has shuttle service to the terminals.
Andress will play Lancaster at 6 p.m. Mountain Time on Thursday at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The game will be shown on FoxSportsSouthwest.com.
Fox Sports Southwest owns the broadcasting rights for the semifinal games and championship games for UIL basketball. Fox Sports Southwest will broadcast the championship game but not webcast it.
