Man wounded, woman critically injured at club shooting
Police said late Sunday via Twitter a 21-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with a shooting outside a downtown bar.
Investigators tell ABC-7 a fight involving two groups of people broke out shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday. It happened in front of the 3 Mentiras on the 400 block of N. Campbell.
During the fight, a man fired a gun. Police said a 29-year-old man was struck by one of the rounds.
Shortly after the first shots were fired, the gunman was tackled and dropped the weapon. Police said another person picked up the gun and fired the weapon, striking a 26-year-old woman.
The man shot during the initial gunfire is expected to recover. The woman suffered life-threatening injuries.
