El Paso Police release name of man killed in rollover on Dyer

Update: Early Wednesday morning a man crashed and rolled his SUV in Northeast El Paso.

David Pinedo, 33, was taken to University Medical Center where he died of his injuries.

His passenger, 29-year-old Misty Waters, suffered minor injuries.

Police say Pinedo lost control of his suburban and hit the raised median near Dyer and Manila, causing the SUV to roll over.

Police Special Traffic Investigators say they believe alcohol and speed played a role in the crash.

Original Story: El Paso Police are investigating a single-vehicle rollover in northeast El Paso that sent two people to the hospital early Wednesday morning.

This happened around 2 a.m. on the 9700 block of Dyer near Manila.

Special Traffic Investigators were called out to assist in the investigation. No word yet if alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.

No other details have been released.
