FIT FOR ’15 06.05.15: The faces of Fit for ’15
after reviewing dozens of submissions — a team of kvia and planet fitness staff selected two women we felt were willing and ready for healthy changes. we’re introducing you to the faces of fit for ’15, sponsored by planet fitness: meet yvonne romero and carol de avila. “i won’t even wear a dress to work. it was just getting worse and worse. yvonne is 35 — a teacher, married with four daughters. “it’s not just me doing it, but it’s all of us that are going to be doing it.” at 5-foot-one — she’s 143 pounds. “it was just getting worse an worse, and no matter what i did, i wasn’t getting the eating and working-out habits synced.” “i think i’m very young and i don’t think i’m looking as well as i should be looking.” carol is 23-years old. her ‘aha’ moment came when she failed the border patrol physical. it was 20 pushups in one minute. i don’t know any girl that can do 20 and i can do 10 but that wasn’t enough carol is 5-foot-5 and 173 pounds. “i’ve been working really har to get to my target weight. and i think that no matter what i do, i’m still off as far as the trimming and toning of my ab area.” both want to lose 30 pounds. “i know i’m not going to lose 3 lbs in two months. that’s not healthy. but as long as i get that start and that know-how and that support, i think that’s a good way to end two months. “i don’t know if my eating’ wrong, or what’s wrong, but that’s what going to get fixed.” we’ll be following them until the end of july. yvonne and carol will be working out with each other and with the help of planet fitness’ trainers. today is the day! we’re watching the progression of moisture
